17th Mat Classic and Napa Valley Results

Results for Bulldog wrestlers from this weekend are in.

Nikki Gallegos travelled North to compete in the Napa Valley Classic. She didn’t come away with a medal but reports she came away from a positive experience.

The varsity boys went just over the hill to the 17th Annual Mat Classic hosted by Granada High School in Livermore. Eight athletes were entered and two came away with medals.

Results from Lou Bronzan and Brittany David

The Tracy High wrestling squad battled it out at Liberty High School this past weekend.

For the girls varsity tournament, Nikki Gallegos was the lone representative at the Brittany David. Her results available here:

The boys varsity squad was represented by Alex Gougousis, Eli Blackwell, Riley Revino, Sammo Blackwell, Anthony Gougousis, Kyle Silveira, and Brock McCarty. This two-day tournament saw many wrestlers eliminated in the first day. With each successive round getting exponentially more challenging, good wrestlers were finding themselves out of the tournament. Two wrestlers (Eli Blackwell and Brock McCarty) went undefeated through the first day of competition and along with Riley Revino who was competing through the consolation rounds, continued their competition on the second day.
